Established in 1971, we moved to the Dales in 1978. With the help of their daughter, Rachel, Mick & Jen built this unique artisan candle company, known for our quality and range of candles. In recent years, Mick & Jen have trained the next generation of White Rose Candlemakers, who now handle the day-to-day operations here in Wensley.

Today, White Rose Candles is co-owned and managed by Jane and Sandra, who welcome you to our beautiful traditional workshop in a historic 19th-century water mill. You can see us making candles by hand using traditional dipping and casting methods, and browse our unique range of artisan candles. We also feature candle holders and ceramics made by local Dales artists!

We are a small, independent family owned and run butchers shop situated in the market town of Leyburn in Wensleydale. Proprietor, Kevin Hall (Kev the Butcher!) has over 30 years experience working in the dales, buying and selling quality meat and poultry products. Here at The Alchemist's Cottage we specialize in Artisan Hand Roasted Coffees and Exquisite Loose Teas. Our ever growing range includes single origin drinking chocolate, free from food products with care taken for various dietary requirements and health and wellbeing, which is important, so we take care to find products that we feel will benefit you and taste amazing. The environment is important to us so please see our no more plastics range where you will find products from toiletries to tableware. We also try where possible to use compostable or biodegradable packaging, although this is not always possible, please dispose of your packaging accordingly.

Fizz is a small independent business situated in beautiful Wensleydale, North Yorkshire.

We specialise in bath products made using luxury organic ingredients, including moisturising organic cocoa butter.
